At goSUP we care about your privacy. In this policy we explain what data we collect, how we use it and what rights you have.
1. Data we collect
- Email – for authentication and for creating the account.
- Profile data (optional) – first name, last name and avatar, if you choose to add them. These will be shown to other users (for example, on a spot page the avatar and the message “Spot added by [first name]” are displayed).
- Spot data – when you add a spot (name, description, coordinates, type, country, county).
- Technical data – standard logs (e.g. IP address, browser), for security and statistics.
2. How we use the data
- To let you search for, save and add spots.
- To show your contributions on the platform (e.g. avatar and first name next to the spots you added).
- To keep your account active and secure.
- To improve our services (e.g. anonymous statistics).
- We do not use your data for spam ads and we do not sell it to third parties.
3. Where we store the data
- All the data is hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL + storage) and on Vercel.
- We use technical measures to protect the data against unauthorised access.
4. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to:
- ask for access to your data;
- request the correction or the deletion of your data;
- withdraw your consent and ask for your account to be closed.
5. Cookies and tracking
- At the moment we only use essential cookies (for authentication).
- If we integrate Google Analytics or other services, we will announce it and ask for consent.
6. Changes
We reserve the right to update this policy. Any change will be published on the site.
